GROOMING:
Trim your nose hairs....
Please...
Pluck away any stray eyebrow hairs.
Especially in the T-Zone. This point is often overlooked...They'll do this on set, so do it for the headshot.
Guys with facial hair:
Tidy it up or shave, depending on agent request. Can also achieve both in a shoot, totally fine. BUT, if you have facial hair make sure to keep an eye out for the strays that make their way to the upper cheek areas.
Have some lip balm to hydrate lips
WARDROBE:
I'm happy to chat in advance regarding outfit choices, I tend to recommend Jewel Tones. And clothes with Texture I have some resources for anyone looking for tips/help finding the right color choices.
Another great resource is https://jillkirshcolor.com
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR BLACK
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR A PLAIN WHITE T-SHIRT
Tank top/halter top, button up, etc is ok - White is fine if it's something that doesn't cover the shoulders or sit around the neck like a traditional T-shirt OR if it has Texture. Textured shirts look amazing.

BRING MULTIPLE OPTIONS!
You never know what's going to work or not on the day. Better safe than sorry.
Also we often finish before the time is up. In that case we can shoot an extra look!
HAIR & MAKEUP:
Have something to highlight your attributes, something achievable and won't be distracting. As my agent always says "A headshot should simply look like you, on a good day." On set you'll have makeup on, so even a little bit goes a long way. Have some lip balm to hydrate lips.
We're not playing characters here; Ultimately, the goal is an engaging photo that represents the way you look that will come through the screen and grab a casting directors' attention and clicks. And you can leave that part up to me!
Please let me know if you have any specific/significant allergies, Most importantly DOGS.
I have a home studio which is also the home of my little Frenchie Daisy.
(She's super sweet and lazy. She'll likely be asleep the whole time.)
50% deposits are required at the time of booking to reserve the session date and time and are non-refundable.
Full Payment for the session is due on shoot day before proofs are released.
Rescheduling once up 48 hours in advance is completely fine.
Within the 48 hour window out of respect for myself as a free lancer and other clients looking to book in, I will ask for the remaining 50% before re-scheduling.
After a second rescheduling it will be treated as a new booking, thus requiring a new deposit.
However I recognize for actors auditions do come up! Under certain circumstances we can be flexible, I ask in return the same curtesy when it happens on my end :)
